Membership
At the core of our school is a non-profit mission to disarm barriers to equity, access, diversity, inclusion, and social justice through remembering and maintaining the tradition of Capoeira Angola.
Our non-profit arm, Capoeira Life fiscally sponsored by Shunpike Arts Collective, makes our free activities and financial assistance possible. Whether students want to learn capoeira once a month, once a week, or everyday, we aim for adult contributions to average $165/month and youth contributions to average $125/month to keep our doors open for our work. With the support of Capoeira Life, we hope a sliding scale will help to achieve this. We believe in a non-judgmental honor system - simply email us at info@washingtoncapoeira.com to set your sliding scale rate. No one is turned away due to cost.

Adult $0 to $250
Double your power: Many organizations match their employees' donations. Ask your employer to find out. We can set your contribution up as a monthly tax-deductible donation to Capoeira Life that your company can match. Because this method requires more fees, it is only beneficial if your company can match. Email info@capoeiralife.org to set up a donation match.
Triple your power: Some organizations, like Microsoft, can match their employees' volunteer hours. Contributing in this way is free for you and leverages more resources towards the mission. Ask your employer to find out and we can set your contribution up as a monthly volunteer match to Capoeira Life. Email info@capoeiralife.org to set up a volunteer match.
New Membership for Parents: Family Capoeira Class!
We're thrilled to announce a brand new addition to our class schedule! We invite you and your family to join us for an hour of fun, fitness, and cultural enrichment. It's a wonderful way to bond, learn, and grow stronger, both physically and as a family unit
Exclusive Membership for Parents
We understand the importance of family, and to make it easier for parents/guardians without existing memberships to join in, we're offering a special membership. For just $50 a month, parents can become members of our school and join the Family Class. Please note, this membership is exclusively for participation in the Family Class. Class is every Wednesday, 5:00 PM - 5:50 PM, at the Seattle Capoeira Center for kids 4-12 years old and their parents or other adult guardians.
Kids Membership
To participate in the Family Class, kids need an active membership with our center. It's a great opportunity for your children to deepen their skills and share the Capoeira experience with you.

General Training Membership Details
Monthly Recurring
All memberships are auto-paid and recurring monthly.
Start-Up Fee
In addition to tuition is the start-up fee to cover the costs of registration. The fee is $50 per new student. Included in your paid start-up fee is one training shirt. Please email your shirt size to info@washingtoncapoeira.com. New youth students in uniform will also receive their capoeira cord. See our FAQ for more information about training uniforms. (Restarting students need to complete the $100 Restart Fee)
Overdue fees will be automatically charged at the end of your first month.
10-Day Guarantee for New Students
If you change your mind after 10 days, receive a refund of your membership payment (refund does not include start-up fee).
Non-Refundable Fees
Apart from the 10-day guarantee for new students, all sales including start-up fees are final and non-refundable. Please email info@washingtoncapoeira.com for any concerns.
Cancellation Policy, Last Month’s Tuition
Cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, you will have one more payment cycle. This is both a window of time to confirm your decision and also ensures the school’s staying open during critical times. Not coming to class does not count as notice of cancellation. Email your written notice to info@washingtoncapoeira.com.
Pausing Policy
Pause your membership at any time for $10 per month. Membership payment is skipped and scheduled payments are moved to a new date based on the end of the pause period. Not coming to class does not count as notice of pausing. Email your written notice to info@washingtoncapoeira.com. Cancellation policy still applies if you need to cancel after pausing.
