We offer serious students, aspiring teachers and current teachers the opportunity to deepen their practice, unlock their potential, and transform their understanding of Capoeira.

We offer a cohesive, multi-specialist approach to teacher training that blends the best of the Capoeira tradition from South and North America.  Our Mestres and Professors are highly-trained, experienced, inspiring professionals with a profound understanding of Capoeira’s transformative power.  Our mission is to provide every Capoeira teacher with the foundation to teach with skill, compassion, safety, and integrity.

About the Seattle Capoeira Center Instructor Program

The SCC method takes inspiration from over 50 world renowned teachers of Capoeira Angola from the lineage of Mestre Nô. Professor Mangangá spent most of his years traveling in Brazil to train and research the unique elements of Mestre Nô’s style. He has integrated the teachings of over 50 teachers of Mestre Nô’s lineage into his own paradigm – a balance of technique, precision and flow. Our programs emphasize a student’s personal practice as the source for their creative teaching. To deepen their education, trainees in the SCC Instructor Program will study all body mechanics of Capoeira movements, explore Capoeira’s philosophical underpinnings, and will practice meditation through Capoeira’s magical ritual, and investigate the vast body of Capoeira music.
