Perhaps you always wanted to do Capoeira and wondered if Capoeira will work for you. By breaking the movements down into simpler easier steps without compromising the integrity of the art, we teach and serve our students, ages 3 years old to 75 years young.
All new students begin with Level 1 classes. Learn and perfect the basic movements, variations and sequences that will get your body fit & strong while providing a strong base for playing and practicing Capoeira.
This class is for new students, occurring 3 times per week (with one morning class) and last for one hour. Professor Mangangá leads these classes covering all basic moves, sequences, including music and games. Classes are designed to accommodate and challenge beginners to experienced Capoeiristas.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to class to sign in. Be sure to wear loose fitting sports pants, a clean t-shirt, and clean flexible shoes (you can also be bare foot). Come ready to learn, move, and challenge yourself for the 60 minute of Capoeira class.
Our mission is dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of the lineage of Mestre Nô’s Capoeira Angola in Seattle. We strive to construct a community center with diverse, mindful, and supportive practitioners with exceptional creative styles.
